Bring your picnic or stock up on freshly made sandwiches and salads, children’s snack boxes and treats at our visitors centre, then settle on the hill with the family for an enjoyable afternoon. At 11am join Silly Gilly for fun family exercise to music to work up an appetite. Then, between 12:30 and 2pm children can take part in some medieval activities run by our education team. This is a free event but pleas book a ticket to help keep track of visitors!
Make up a team of family and friends and explore and solve clues that will take you on a local adventure.

Solve the clues to follow the secret path through the village walking distance approx two miles. Register at Dundonald Castle and Visitors Centre at 7pm.

This 5 a-side football tournament is open to all children from Primary 4-7. All Teams must pre-register and have a responsible adult on the day.

The Pet Show is on Wednesday 31 July at 7:00pm at the Playing Fields below Dundonald Castle (registration from 6pm). This event is kindly sponsored by Dundonald House.
There are various entry classes for all the local talent from the animal kingdom. Classes are as follows:
1. Best small furry animal
2. Best puppy (3 months-1 year)
3. Best Adult dog (2-6 years)
4. Best Veteran (7 years and older)
5. Best Rescue dog
6. Fancy dress
Rosettes 1st - 6th place
Best in Show - first in classes 1-6
All pets and owners receive a certificate of entry.
Entry is free and made at the event.

The Kids’ Fun Run is on Wednesday 31 July 2019 from 6:15pm in the Playing Fields below Dundonald Castle (registration on field from 6pm). Primary 3 to secondary run out playing field and around Kilnford estate.
From Toddlers to Teens the Fun Run is open to kids of all ages. Categories are:
- Primary 7 and Secondary (out of field)
- Primary 5 and 6 (out of field)
- Primary 3 and 4 (out of field)
- Primary 1 and 2 (flat race in field)
- Nursery (flat race in field)

Dundonald Highland Games - Special 30th Anniversary Celebration!
The committee are delighted to announce a special celebratory event for our 30th Anniversary. A Family Ceilidh night is being planned for Friday 2nd August from 7pm – 10pm. The event will be held within the Hospitality Marquee sited on Dundonald Playing Field under the wonderful view of our Dundonald Royal Castle.
Tickets are £3 each on a first come basis. Tickets will be available from any committee member and from Totally Pampered from Friday 31st May (you can however request, via a committee member your name and required ticket numbers to go on waiting list anytime from now).
We are super excited to bring this wonderful event the night before Games Day to allow us all to celebrate together.
